Dreams of Vertigo vocalist Doug Ferguson was inspired to write the song “An (Un)Easy Goodbye” after seeing a suicidal man atop a freeway sign who was ready to jump. Ferguson witnessed the process that police officers used to try and talk the man down, whether or not the man was saved that day was not made clear.
The song itself deals with the uneasy topics of depression and suicide but puts you in the mind of the individual contemplating these thoughts. An (Un) Easy Goodbye will be on the soon to be released album Reject University, Pt. 2: From Six 2 Midnight, due out October 14, 2016.
