Washing Machine is a virtual peep-show into the explicit realm between alluring grime and repulsive prettiness. The Giraffes, the acting cast and production team have together created a masterpiece that deserves millions of views.
“This video has everything; pistol BJ’s, glitter-puking, laundromat-bubble-blowing, strobe-light-teeth, kosher-three-ways and of course elevated-train-pole-dancing.” -(In the style of) Stefon
A Dirty Work Production
A film by Andrei Zakow & Shawn Regruto
I watched the video and studied the lyrics and I couldn’t help but get philosophical on this one. You may be compelled to ask yourself some serious self-evaluating questions after viewing. The characters all have their own demons to deal with in this story-line and if they can handle looking at themselves in the mirror every morning then what’s the harm in a little debauchery?
Lyric interpretation varies by listener but to me this song is mostly about choices, whether it’s decisions we’ve made or could’ve made differently; still the origin was choice. Like when God said unto Adam “from the tree of knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat from it you will surely die.” And the serpent said unto the Eve, “Ye shall not surely die“, there was a choice to be made. So was the forbidden fruit actually an apple or was it a dangling carrot?
SPOILER ALERT: The stalkerish pursuit scenes should make you uncomfortable, the dancing will give you an erection and the cocaine will take away that very same erection.
